Edward Casey is an EU Funding Manager at AMBER. Prior to AMBER, Edward was a Project Manager at Dublin City University, looking after EU funded projects. Previously, he was a Programme and Project Manager at University College Dublin, where he worked on both exchequer and EU funded programmes.
At AMBER, he contributes to both the pre- and post-ward portfolios of the non-exchequer, non-commercial (NENC) team. Within this role, he assists researchers with everything from opportunity and horizon scanning to proposal development and submission, particularly in the Horizon Europe space; he is also the manager for two active EU-funded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCAs): the ADMIRE COFUND in advanced materials research and the DeMANS staff exchange programme in additive manufacturing.
If you are looking to collaborate with AMBER researchers in Horizon Europe opportunities or are looking for information on AMBER’s interests and activities in this space, please feel free to contact him. Equally, if you would like further information on active EU projects, please feel free to reach out.
He has a BE (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD, both from University College Dublin.
AMBER has a strong emphasis on collaboration. Central to AMBER’s research remit are collaborative projects performed with industry partners, and working with academic, industry and wider stakeholder on international and national research programmes.Get in touch
