Maria Tierney Project Manager

Maria is a Project Manager at AMBER. Prior to AMBER, Maria spent seven years in top tier consultancy firm, EY, where she held senior roles leading teams on projects of national significance across Energy, Infrastructure and Transport industries. Maria has formal accredited qualifications in programme management (PRINCE2) and has extensive experience successfully delivering large scale business and ICT transformation programmes in fast-paced, multi-vendor environments. In her most recent role prior to AMBER, Maria was on the senior leadership team of a national programme in the Energy sector where she was responsible for overseeing strategy development, work plan delivery and the implementation of strategic initiatives.

At AMBER, Maria has responsibility for the delivery of a portfolio of Industry-Academic collaboration programmes. She ensures the AMBER research teams achieve key project objectives and build meaningful relationships with Industry partners. Maria applies industry standard programme management practices and stakeholder engagement techniques to support the delivery of research objectives and bring value to the partner companies.

Maria holds a BA Mod in Management Science and Information Systems Studies from Trinity College Dublin. She is also a certified Scrum Master and holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
