Friday 26th September was European Researchers Night and our team setup in Trinity College Dublin Front Square to showcase some of our fascinating work, providing an opportunity for the public, to come along to learn about what science is doing for them.
Researchers discussed work on biopolymers, materials that have been manufactured from biological sources to make active sustainable packaging material via Biolamer Project.
Showcased Direct Air Capture solutions for the Circular Economy from the Air-In-Motion project.
And demonstrated various bioengineering work including 3D printing from Professor Caitríona (Tríona) Lally’s group
There was also an opportunity to learn more about everyday materials by taking a close up look under the microscope!
AMBER has a strong emphasis on collaboration. Central to AMBER’s research remit are collaborative projects performed with industry partners, and working with academic, industry and wider stakeholder on international and national research programmes.
