AMBER PostDoc & PostGrad Researchers Away Day

The AMBER PostGrad & PostDoc Committee held the inaugural Researchers Away Day kindly hosted by AMBER partner institution Tyndall National Institute in Cork on 6th of November 2024.

The event was chaired by members of the PostDoc & PostGrad Committee:

  • Eoin Caffrey, PhD Student Researcher TCD
  • Danielle Douglas-Henry​, Research Fellow at the Advanced Microscopy Laboratory (AML) TCD
  • Supported by AMBER General Manager Colm McAtamney

The event included talks from early-career PIs including:

The day included many opportunities for networking with researchers from different departments and themes across the AMBER Centre. The day also included a Collaboration and communication in Science using Visual Arts as a co-creation tool event. Working with visual artist Robyn Deasy to develop physical and digital artefacts to communicate materials science research to non-expert audiences in an engaging way. We look forward to sharing the results of which soon.
