AMBER hosted a delegation of 25 visitors from Austria on 12th May, including Directors of Research Centres, the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, Austrian Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism, and the Austrian Centre for Electron Microscopy.
Members of the AMBER Funding, Business Development presented an overview of the research in the Centre, and had a good discussion about the research & innovation ecosystem in Ireland (and similarities/differences thereof).
AMBER colleagues from the Advanced Microscopy Lab (AML) and Additive Research Lab (ARL) hosted tours of both facilities. We look forward to continued engagement via the Austrian Cooperative Research and Josef Treml (Advantage Austria at the Austrian Embassy in Ireland) with potential collaboration opportunities to work together through Horizon Europe funding programmes.
AMBER has a strong emphasis on collaboration. Central to AMBER’s research remit are collaborative projects performed with industry partners, and working with academic, industry and wider stakeholder on international and national research programmes.
