AMBER’s Executive Director Dr Lorraine Byrne met with Deputy Louise O’Reilly TD – Sinn Féin spokesperson on Workers’ Rights, Enterprise, Trade and Employment on Tuesday 23rd January.
This was a positive engagement and discussion regarding the important role Research Centres such as AMBER play in attracting & retaining FDI

Similarly AMBER had the opportunity to host a meeting on Tuesday 13th February with with Deputy Mairead Farrell TD Sinn Féin Spokesperson on Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science & member of Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, innovation and Science. This included a demonstration of AMBER equipment and research on site in the CRANN institute ad included discussion regarding the upcoming Research & Innovation Bill establishing the new funding agency Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland
AMBER has a strong emphasis on collaboration. Central to AMBER’s research remit are collaborative projects performed with industry partners, and working with academic, industry and wider stakeholder on international and national research programmes.
