AMBER Centre and Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) co-hosted GERG – European Gas Research Group General Assembly. The 2025 General Assembly was held in Dublin on May 14th and 15th at Trinity College Dublin and the GNI Research Labs.
AMBER was represented by Daniel Knapper with research and technology presentations from, Prof Rocco Lupoi, Trinity College Dublin School of Engineering , Trinity College Dublin, Asst Prof Shahrzad Daghighi, Bernal Institute, University of Limerick, and Dr. Elham Katoueizadeh, Trinity College Dublin. Subjects presented and discussed included, Hydrogen Embrittlement, Carbon Capture Technology and Composite Vessels for Hydrogen Storage.
The visit highlighted AMBERs collaborative work on gas innovation and decarbonisation with key European partners within our Materials for Energy Research Theme in the Centre.
AMBER has a strong emphasis on collaboration. Central to AMBER’s research remit are collaborative projects performed with industry partners, and working with academic, industry and wider stakeholder on international and national research programmes.
