AMBER’s Transition Year Experience October 2025

AMBER’s Transition Year work experience programme “Exploring Materials” took place from 21st – 24th October linking school students with AMBER researchers at the CRANN Institute and Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute in Trinity College Dublin and with AMBER researchers working in the Tissue Engineering Research Group at RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences.

 

 

The TY Experience Week culminated in a Dragons Den style presentation of their projects from the week judged by an industry panel. The winning  team was ‘MED-C’ : Cillian, Mehret, Darragh and Elodie They also had a 3D printed prototype which they demonstrated to the judging panel as can be seen in images below.

Prizes were presented by Prof. Valeria Nicolosi and included Industry Judges:
