Smalltalk – Big Ideas receives funding as part of Science Week 2024

AMBER, CRANN, Trinity East and Unit18 are delighted to be successfully awarded funding for ‘Smalltalk – Big Ideas’ as part of Science Week taking place across Ireland from 10th-17th November 2024.

The event was announced as part of the launch of Science Week by Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Patrick O’Donovan TD on Monday 30th September with Research Ireland.

This Science Week 2024 event ‘Smalltalk – Big Ideas’ aligns with the theme of ‘small talk leading to big ideas’, this novel, inclusive and innovative event will comprise of 3 interactive elements, to inform, inspire and engage attendees:
1. ‘Smalltalk’ short story collection launch (in partnership with Fighting Words);
2. An intergenerational co-creation workshop; and
3. A hands-on citizen science ‘regeneration’ activity.
