Prof PE Seeram Ramakrishna, FREng, is the Director of the Center for Nanofibers & Nanotechnology at the National University of Singapore. Media giant, Thomson Reuters has recognized him among the World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds. He is a Highly Cited Researcher in Materials Science (www.highlycited.com). He has authored 6 books, and over 700 WoS journal papers, which attracted ~ 42, 000 citations and H index of 94. His research outcomes have been translated into products and are available in several countries. He received his PhD from the University of Cambridge, and The General Management Training from Harvard University. His academic leadership includes National University of Singapore Vice-President (Research Strategy); Dean of Faculty of Engineering; Director of NUS Enterprise; and Founding Chairman of Solar Energy Institute of Singapore. His global leadership includes Founding Chair of Global Engineering Deans Council (www.gedc.org), and Co-Founder, University Excellence Care Project (www.uecare.org). He is an elected international fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK; National Academy of Engineering, India; Institution of Engineers Singapore; ASEAN Academy of Engineering & Technology; American Association of the Advancement of Science; ASM International; American Society for Mechanical Engineers; American Institute for Medical & Biological Engineering; Institution of Mechanical Engineers, UK; and Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining, UK.

EDGE Fellowships are for experienced researchers of any nationality and residing worldwide, seeking a prestigious career development fellowship based in one of ten of Ireland’s third-level institutes.
